Holly & Caroline

"Holly Cimino and her daughter, Caroline, delivered on their brochure.  Thoroughly  professional and enjoyable arrangements - their ability to anticipate our interests literally left nothing for us to do but enjoy ourselves. They were flexible and their knowledge of the best and most interesting ways to experience the area were invaluable. We heartily recommend Holly and Cimino Tours to anyone dreaming about a tour of a lifetime in the Cinque Terre."

"What a wonderful experience! Caroline was incredibly friendly, organized and knowledgeable about the areas we rode through. She entertained our many curiosities about Italian culture and the history of the region. She was a delight to converse with and even brought us a tasty treat for the ride! The areas she brought us to were beautiful! Caroline took us to many picturesque viewpoints where we had a chance to walk around a bit and take in the sights! I would absolutely go on another experience of hers."

Ligurian Cuisine

You will sample a variety of fresh seafood like anchovies served about 6 different ways, calamari, sea bass, mussels and swordfish (in photo above). Pesto originated in this region of Liguria, which is  where Monterosso is located. The combination of the climate, sea air and sunshine make the basil here just perfect. The local wines complement all of the food you will sample and the fresh focaccia comes in about a dozen varieties.

A Hidden Gem

Join me for the wine harvest, hiking, wine tasting & enjoying the best Italian food. I have spent more than 35 years living in and visiting this paradise and I am now sharing my passion for this beautiful part of Italy with others. A visit to Cinque Terre with me means getting a very intimate look at life in a small fishing village where you can tailor the trip to your interests...bike along the Riviera, hike the ridges with breathtaking views, take a cooking class...

What I love about this part of Italy is that you are nestled between the turquoise Mediterranean Sea and the lush green vineyard covered mountains. There are many trails to hike from moderate to more challenging. The beach is beautiful for swimming or relaxing. Shopping is fun and if we have an unusual rainy day we can take a short train ride to Chiavari or Santa Margherita for  (clothing, shoes, linens, leather) or

the caves of Carrara where Michelangelo found his marble.
