bella settembre 2015
I just returned from my 3rd tour with a great group including two couples(one returned from last year, the Passers) and six women...sisters, a mom and daughter and two single ladies. We met for a potluck before the tour at my home and got acquainted. Everyone got along so well and enjoyed eachothers company. After flying on our own to Italy, we met in Monterosso on a Sunday afternoon. The weather could not have been more perfect all week. The first evening after a walking tour of the charming old town of Monterosso, I surprised the group as we piled into taxis for the death defying ride up the narrow road to Porto Roca to enjoy Prosecco at sunset overlooking the sea. Other highlights of the week were: wine tasting, getting a tour of a local wine owner's private home in Vernazza, breathtaking hikes, cooking class for Sara (she was the only one who wanted to do one this time), getting the Cinque Terre charms in all five towns, endless meals (especially Ciaks), bike ride through the old train gallery along the brilliant sea, did I say wine tasting? yes this group was very interested in the process of making the perfect Cinque Terre wine and on our last night together, we were blessed with a performance by Opera duo Akiko and Guido under the stars in Piazza Matteoti. I love my job! Can't wait for May and the Lemon Festival. Join me!
